How the work is done, and who answers for it.
Sautas is a technology company working with owners and management teams on the systems their businesses run on. Every engagement has one accountable lead, and the contract sits with us.
Confidentiality.
Everything you share with us is treated as confidential. An NDA can be in place before the first detailed conversation.
Information is shared only with the people working on your engagement, and only to the extent they need it.
Accountability.
Every engagement has a named, accountable lead who owns scope, schedule and quality and is your single point of contact.
Continuity is documented: decisions, configuration and open items are recorded as the work proceeds, and the continuity arrangements for each engagement — including who stands in if needed — are set out in the contract.
Where specialists are brought in, they work under our contract, and Sautas remains answerable for the result.
Delivery model.
- A vetted team, assembled for the engagement
- A vetted team of senior engineers and specialists, assembled for each engagement around the systems in question — infrastructure, data, a particular platform, a regulated domain.
- Sautas contracts and is responsible
- You contract with Sautas, not with a consortium. We select and direct the specialists, and we carry the responsibility for their work.
- Scaled to the engagement
- Specialists are selected for the work, rather than the work being shaped around who happens to be available. Where an engagement is outside what we can do well, we say so.
How quality is ensured.
Testing
Automated tests covering the paths a business depends on, and acceptance criteria agreed before the phase starts, so acceptance is a check rather than an opinion.
Performance against real workloads
Performance is measured against the volumes and conditions the system will actually meet — catalogue size, concurrent users, peak periods — and the agreed thresholds form part of acceptance.
Accessibility
Interfaces are built to WCAG 2.1 AA as the working standard, and checked rather than assumed.
Documentation and handover
Source code, architecture notes, runbooks and credentials are yours. We hand over so your team or another supplier can take the system on, and we state what remains outstanding.
Commercial terms.
How an engagement is structured, what it costs you to find out, and what you own at the end.
Engagement options
Fixed-price phases
The default. Each phase is scoped and priced before it starts, so the commitment is defined for each phase.
Time and materials with an agreed cap
Where the scope genuinely cannot be fixed in advance, work runs against a rate and a cap that is not exceeded without your written approval.
Operation and support
Ongoing operation runs as a monthly agreement, with the scope of support, monitoring and maintenance named in it.
Advisory
Assessments and due diligence run as a fixed-scope engagement with a defined deliverable and date.
- Scope and changes
- Each phase is scoped, priced and approved before it starts. Changes are priced and approved before they are built.
- Ownership
- Software built specifically for you — source code, documentation, infrastructure definitions and credentials — belongs to you and lives in your repositories. Licensed third-party components remain under their own licences, which are named in the offer.
- Confidentiality
- Everything you share with us is treated as confidential. An NDA can be in place before the first detailed conversation.
- Prices
- Prices are given per offer, against a defined scope. We do not publish rates or packages.
Contracting & procurement.
- Contracting
- You contract with the entity named above. Specialists engaged for a project are subcontracted by us, and we remain your counterparty throughout.
- Tenders and procurement processes
- We respond to structured procurement. Send the documents and the deadline and we will confirm whether we are bidding, rather than leaving it open.
- Supplier documentation
- Supplier forms, data processing agreements and security questionnaires are completed as part of onboarding. Tell us what your process requires.
For tenders and supplier onboarding, write to info@sautas.com with “Procurement” in the subject line, or use the contact form.
